/:\/:\Bull turned slightly and saw 'he was awake, 'he didn't seem to be in any pain, which was good. 'e knew that 'e dare not address 'er whilst Spirit was 'ere, 'e could wake up, and then would both be in even more trouble. 'e hunched slightly against th' cold, it twas usallual for this wheather in spring, changeable as th' wind. 'e sighed, Spirit might make in th; next few hours...that gave 'im plenty of time to get cold, 'e thought miserably/:\/:\

~/~ Pricking up 'er harks Nightingale stared at Fallen Embers, 'he knew 'e might get told off if Spirit woke up so didn't push th' matter, 'he soon regained feeling in 'er legs, and shivered, it was cold, odd for spring, but then again, 'he thought miserbly, things can't get much worse, can they Night? 'he smiled as 'he thought of th' nickname 'er father 'ad used, before 'er life, 'ad been ruined, 'he knew that 'er life wasn't always going to end like this, there were many paths in life, and most horses chose th' easy way out, death, 'he looked thoughtfully at th' rope, maybe 'he should just consider killing 'erskelf, right 'ere, right now, that way, he could ne'er give birth to a foal, and th' pleasure of being killed by Spirit would be non-existent, because 'he would already be dead. ~/~

/:\/:\Bull looked down, 'e still felt guilty that 'e had sentenced 'er to this fate, 'he hated 'im. 'e sighed, and shivered, wanting nothing more than to lie down..sleep. 'e knew 'e could not, must notm or there would be hell to pay from Spirit. Especially as 'e was in such a good mood. For 'im, th' worst mood Spirit was in, th' better, cause it meant that 'e had little time to bully Fallem Embers/:\/:\

~/+| Spirit awoke and trotted o'er to th' still awake Fallen Embers, and gave 'im a shove before egnoring 'im completly and trotting o'er to Nightingale, 'e smirked, 'he was awake, marks covered 'er hide, but they would soon dissapear, they weren't perminant, 'he wasn't as of yet a broken vessel, that was interesting, 'e found to 'is glee, more time to push 'er around, and mick, 'er but first 'e trotted back o'er to Fallen Embers, and contemplated th' worst fate that 'e could condemm 'im too, something that hurt, but 'e didn't feel pain any more 'e then decided 'e may as well, ask, 'e screwed up 'is optics, looking at Fallen Embers critically, 'e then asked 'is tone falt, only betraying mockery as an emotion, nothing more, nothing less.
"What makes ye feel bad? Guilty? Feel pain?"
'e asked 'is tone leveled out, 'e wanted to know, 'is expression was blanc apart from mild interest that didn't betray anything of th' real, power, respect and fear that this stag commanded. Nightingale glared at Spirit as 'e came by 'er and examined 'er, 'he felt like poking 'im, 'ard. But 'he didn't instead 'he stayed put seething with anger, 'he tugged at th' chain, when 'he was free, boy would 'e get it bad, 'he would see to it that ;e ne'er kept anouther slave, e'er! |+\~

/:\/:\Bull looked up as Spirit walked o'er, half surprised at th' question. 'e knew that 'e had best answer truthfully, that way maybe Nightingale would be given a less hard time. 'e noticed 'he was awake, 'he had best sleep, that way Spirit couldn't make an excuse to make 'er life miserable/:\/:\
/:\I feel guilty, any equine would. I fear nothing, apart from failing those I care about, which of whom I have none. Abd as ye knows, I feel little pain now/:\
/:\/:\All this was said in that same, emotionless tone, vordering on hate and bitterness, and 'is hues didn't betray much, for 'e was trying to perform 'is best. To help Nightingale, this would have to be 'is best performance yet/:\/:\

|+~/\~| Spirit stood not surprized by th' answer, so now th' bronc' knew that 'e no longer felt pain, well that came as no surprize, so th' bronc' did feel guilt? Well at least that was something, 'e decided furvently, 'e glanced across at Nightingale, no doubt th' bronc' felt something for 'er, no 'e knew twas guilt, guilt that 'e 'ad nought 'er 'ere, and 'ad been unable to do th' least thing to protect 'er, 'e smirked, there was more than one way to 'urt a horse than punishment, feelings were th' biggest weakness an equine could 'ave, 'e shook 'is mane, and stood streight, 'e pondered, Fallen Ember's answer, 'e felt that 'e 'adn't elaborated enough, 'e struggled to find th' right words, then 'e returned to stare at Fallen Embers, 'e wanted th' broncc' to feel pain again, but, 'e'd been pushed to 'ard too many time, 'e frowned and at last 'e replied stiffly,
"Guilt? Guilt for.....what? Why? When?"
'e asked stamping a hoof each time 'e asked a question, Nightingale stoof harks pricked, listening intently to what was going, on, 'he would be sold soon, then 'he might ne'er see Fallen Embers again, th' chanced were, 'he would be killed by 'er next master, or th' one after thay, or e'en th' one after that. 'he knew that 'he 'ad too do something, so that 'e would remember 'er and ne'er give up 'ope, but what? 'he sighed, then 'he 'ad an idea, it twas th' only way, 'he smiled silently, 'he swiftly began forming th' plan and modifing it in 'er head, making sure it twas perfect. |~/\~+|

/:\/:\Bull noticed Nightingale was plotting, 'e silently begged 'er with 'is hues, not to do anything stupid. 'e then turned to Spirit, pindering th' question. Telling 'im would just give 'im even more power o'er 'im, not telling 'im would result in pain. 'e shrugged and answered truthfully/:\/:\
/:\Because I let 'er come into this. I have felt guilt since 'he was brought 'ere. And it my nateral instinct to feel gult/:\
/:\/:\'e said no more, 'e had said to much already. 'e liked Nightingale, they had been...friends. In the cruel life 'e had made one freind, and 'e didn't e'er want to see 'er go, but when 'he left, 'e knew 'he would be killed by 'er next master, or one of th' ones that followed/:\/:\

~/+| Spirit looked at Fallen Embers with quite content, th' bronc' 'ad proved 'is guess right, by midnight, th' femmora would be gone, 'e 'ad no use for 'er now, 'he may as well be sold on...but th' foal, 'e smiled, now e'en 'he must now, 'he was in foal, and th' chances were, 'he'd 'ave it soon, 'e smirked, and looked at Fallen Embers, then at Nightingale, who seemed to be plotting something, 'e gave 'er a warning smarl, before turning back to Fallen Embers, 'e contemplated, 'ow to answer to th' bronc's answer, true, 'e mist feel guilty, but that wasn't enough, it twas clearly not enough to make 'im feel any pain that would stop 'im working, or make 'im feel any worse than it already did, 'e then answered 'is tone rough and unlike 'is normal one, this was twas thoughtful and showed th' sly, cunning stag Spirit truly was, 'e then looked at th' sky and said,
"Fine....ye knows as much as I, that I'm not going to kill 'er..yet, 'he is in heavy foaling now, as soon as that foal is born, 'he leaves, understood, I'm considering sending ye with 'er, permenently"
'e added 'is hues gleaming, Nightingale, moved uncomptably knowing that 'is words were almost right, 'he was not in 'heavy foaling' as 'e put it, within th' week 'er foal would be born, but 'he was 'ery good at hiding that, 'he smiled, 'he 'ad 'er own little secret, 'he 'ad to kill th' foal, e'en if it cost 'er, 'er life, 'he would rather die than live, knowing that 'er son/daughter would be made a slave, 'he would care for it, but in a normal life, 'he wouldn't be chained, to a tree, 'he thought moodily, 'he sighed, 'er breath turning to mist in th' crisp afternoon air. |+\~

~+|/| As if Spirit 'ad time to deal with Fallen Embers right now, 'e smirked, and looked at Nightingale breifly then 'is gaze flickered back to Fallen Embers, 'e thingied 'is head and looked a little more thoughtful than before, 'e knew that Fallen Embers, thought that it twas a new punishment, but it wasn't 'e was planning on getting a herd, 'e wouldn't 'ave time for th' slave stallion when 'e 'ad mares and possibly foals and Alpha, Betta and/or Herd Stallions to deal with, 'e then looked o'er to th' north, in the direction of the slave market, it couldn't be seen from 'ere, but it twas huge and at least a thouasand slaves were being bought and sold at this very minute,
"Oh I could think of some very good reasons, want me to elaborate?"
'e asked, 'is tanterlising tone reaching out, mocking, 'e knew that no matter what either Nightingale or Fallen Embers did, they were both powerless ageist 'im. Nightingale looked at Spirit in surprise, let go? 'adn't Fallen Embers been with Spirit for like forever? 'he loomed at Spirit puzzled, but 'ad little time to dwell on that possibility, 'he 'ad to get free, 'he looked around knowing that there was no escape, maybe 'he could make such a noise that maybe a human would 'ear, then 'he would be rescued, but e'en 'he knew it twas a fantasy and a stupid idea. |/|+~
